How to calculate Plot Ratio and Plinth Area?

You can get a question in the Estate Agent's Examination on development charge which is based on calculation of plinth area and plot ratio.

Many times, we get confused with how to use the information provided by the question in calculating the development charge levied on the project proposed. This is especially so when the confusion came about with what is Plot (tapak) of the building.

  1. Plot of the building which is the base of the building.
  2. Plot of the building which is the land that the building is to be constructed.
